Fun Night In

 We Love Fall!

Well Camber and I had planned to go to a fall festival this evening, but as it sometimes happens, plans change.

Sooo, Mommy improvised a fun night in! ( I must give credit to my dear friend Rachella for the idea she did this with her daughter on a rainy day)

I needed something for Camber to do while I cooked which is usually the case we have every evening.  Some evening she can help with dinner and others like tonight she can not.  

So instead of just turning on Sprout or putting on a movie for her to watch, we made a tent for her in the living room for her to watch her movies in..

She loves it!  She has only come out to eat dinner, go potty, and get a bath and now she is camped out in there.  She had fun picking out what she wanted to put in there with her as well.

Of course the guests in her tent are Owie, Prayer Bear, and Kitty.  And she has a ton of pillows!  

Right now she is watching the pajaminals on sprout, part of her normal bedtime routine.

Oh and on a side note, today is day two of her behaving herself at school and not yelling at her teachers or acting out or mean to other children.

Thank God! Maybe we have figured out that being mean to others is just not the way things work in this family.

Nana has just gotten home and we all layed in the the tent and watched the end of pajaminals with Camber.

The Nana, and Camber sat at the table and Nana is eating dinner, Camber quickly downed a cup of yougert, and hurried back to the tent to watch tv.  

And Sprout is getting ready to do the night time poem and brush teeth and Star is going to go to bed.

I am getting off here so we can brush our teeth and go night night!

Fun With A Fall Craft!

Good evening everyone!  Work today for me was slow.  Camber had a great day at school.  

I got off early so I went and picked her up early, so that we would have plenty of Mommy/Daughter time to do our wonderful Fall Craft!

I went well guys, she had a blast and now we have a fall centerpiece for our table!

I was able to get a few pictures of her working so hard on her pumpkin.  Really need to find time for Camber, Nana, and I to all be able to do something like this together.  That way I will be able to get better pictures of all of us.

I will be looking online for other fall crafts for us to do.  Oh and the FAIR!!   We are planning on going next weekend yay!

Love This Time of Year

Happy Fall All!

Been a while since I have gotten on,  We are all doing great in our world here.  Camber is still having meltdowns, still trying to find better ways of dealing with them (ones that work)

I just want to say that this is my favorite time of year!  I love the cool mornings and then semi warm afternoons and then cool in the evenings once again.  

Camber and I did our first fall activity we made Caramel Apples!

It was fun and very sticky, although we did not use a dip we found sheets of caramel and got to place them over the apples. ( this made it easier for Camber to participate and less mess for mommy).

 Camber is getting better at smiling with her eyes open yay!

 All she is thinking is when do I get to eat one?

 Okay mom lets finish so we can eat.

Finally!

I think she had a blast, and I can not wait to do some other activities as well, maybe we will rake some leaves and play in them.  I may go get some bags for the leaves that look like Jack o' lanterns so we can some what decorate for Halloween.

Camber already says she wants to be a Princess this year.  Did we expect her to say anything but that?  Not at all, so now all she has to do is decide if she wants to wear the pink dress or the blue and then I can get her some shoes and crown and other little accessories to go with it!

Also I got to organize Cambers room on her last weekend at her dads, I put up a corkboard in  her room to hang her school work and pictures of friends and family along with her art work on and just took a few pictures of her room decor as of now I do know that maybe for Christmas I will be getting her a big girl bed with bedding to match, we will see what she is into at that point and time.  Here are a few pics of her room as it is now.

Well that is all for now and if any of you have any ideas of some great Fall activities for Camber and I to enjoy together post them up for us we are looking forward to the wonderful changes that God has in store for us soon.  (more on that later)

Even Princesses Have Bad Days

First off sorry it has been a while, I have no excuse except I just did not feel like it at the time.

Second, we had a very bad day at school today.

Miss Camber misbehaved at school today, I was told that she bit one child and yelled and screamed at her teachers.

When I asked her who she bit, she told me the name of another child?  So she bit two children and the teacher was only aware of one?  

Needless to say I have a few questions for the staff in the morning and I will be there early to talk.

Camber has been punished, regardless if she was provoked I do not want her to retaliate against other children with violence.  

I explained to her that if another child says something mean, or lays hands on her she is to tell the teacher and not to touch the child.

So it was an early night for her, we came home from school and the store.

She did her homework, and while I cooked dinner she was in her room cleaning.  She was told she was not allowed to watch any of her shows on Sprout this evening.  

Camber and I ate dinner together and I repeated what I had said about not touching other children.

Nana came home and Camber had to tell Nana what she did, after that it was a bath and then bed.  

Camber was in bed this evening at 7:30 and has just with in the past 30 mins fell asleep.

I am praying that God will help her with her anger issues, I also explained that we do not raise our voices to anyone!

So tonight I will pray for my daughter I don't want her to be angry anymore I want my sweet little princess back.  I don't think she slept well last night Lord knows I didn't.

Tomorrow will be great, I know she will be good!

Our Wonderful Monday

Today was an okay day, work was slow so got off early.  Picked Camber up early from school so her and I could go to the grocery store to get food for dinner tonight.

We came home and she helped me do the dishes, I love it when she wants to help out with chores, makes me think I have done something right in raising her.

After the dishes were done I put on her cartoons as a reward while I got dinner prepped to cook, she does not get to help cook too often I don't like her near the stove and what we had this evening she was not able to help with.  We had cubedsteak and gravy with rice and field peas, Camber loves rice, just plain, bland rice.  She is so silly.  

Right now I am writing this to you and she is finishing up a wonderful show on NickJr. called Mike the Knight, she likes dragons now and is constantly running around "roaring" :).  I hate to have to tell her it is almost bedtime :(.  

Our bedtime routine now consist of brushing our teeth, going potty, saying bedtime prayer, blessing important people in our lives, kisses and hugs, drink of water, and finally cover up with blanket and she might stay in bed.  

I am really going to try harder to capture more pictures of Camber it is just really hard to do when it is just you and her, one I don't want to stop what we are doing to go get the camera, and two mostly I am so into what we are doing that it becomes an afterthought (man, should have gotten a pic of that).

Well we are going to go finish our bedtime routine, have a wonderful evening all.  Unfortunately our location is under a tornado watch until 3 am and it is supposed to start storming around 10 pm I hope she is sound asleep before this happens.

Fun Evening With Neighbors

Good Morning to Everyone and Anyone who reads our little blog.  We had a great time last night at our neighbor's house for a cook out.  Good food, great people and Cake (that would be Camber's input).  Camber got to play with her friends Jayden, Marcus,  and Marquez she had a blast!  We all had Pulled pork(cooked by the wonderful Mr. Fred) Coleslaw, potatoe salad, baked beans, and Homemade Mac and Cheese (made by yours truly) Not only was this a cook out for us to meet their friends from England but is was a surprise baby shower for Brandy, their soon to be daughter in law and another neighbor of all of ours.  We are so greateful for our wonderful neighbors and friends it is nice to know someone is there if you need them.  

This morning started out great and I am looking forward to the rest of the day, hoping it continues to be wonderful day.  It feels like fall out side once again and I am loving it.

Camber woke late this morning, all that running around and playing last night wore her out.   But when she did finally wake she came running into the livingroom where I was sitting and jumped in the chair with me for some mommy-daughter cuddle time!

After cuddle time she ate breakfast, Poptarts this morning is what she wanted.  She finished breakfast and then it was time to get dressed for school.  I got a few shots of her outfit of choice this morning.  All I can say is she is her mommy's girl.  I lived in overalls when I was little.
